A few days ago, the first phase of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project Taocha Canal had a cumulative water supply volume of 7.82 billion cubic meters in the first year. Implemented ecological water replenishment in the receiving area reached 2.293 billion cubic meters, both hitting historical highs year-on-year.

According to relevant data, from November 2019 to September 20, 2020, the cumulative water supply volume of the first phase of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project reached 7.82 billion cubic meters through the head of Taocha Canal, and 2.293 billion cubic meters of ecological water supply in the water-receiving area was implemented according to actual conditions, reaching the maximum value since the water supply in 2014. The project is operating normally, giving full play to the water supply function of the first phase of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project, and the comprehensive benefits of Danjiangkou Reservoir in flood control, water supply, ecology, and power generation. The project has achieved remarkable results.
