Dr. Yuqiang Xia appointed adjunct assistant professor to Temple University

Dr. Yuqiang Xia of CRSRI has been appointed as Adjunct Assistant Professor to Temple University¡¯s College of Engineering by Dean Professor Keya Sadeghipour. Dr. Xia was working as a visiting research scholar (also a co-educated PhD student) under the supervision of Prof. Michel C. Boufadel at Temple¡¯s NRDP for a period of 18 months.  He is currently acting Engineer of the CRSRI. Dr. Xia has acquired broad and strong experiences in the fields of coastal hydrogeology and subsurface multicomponent flow, especially in groundwater flow and solute (contaminants, chemicals) transport. He has authored over ten papers published by international leading journals such as Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, Advances in Water Resources, Hydrology and Earth System Sciences, and Environmental Modelling & Software. Following the adjunct faculty appointment, Dr. Xia plans to conduct cooperation studies related to water resources and environmental problems caused by oil/gas explorations and beach environmental hydrology.
